About Me:
I have always had a love for music since an early age. This started when my aunt Joan bought me my first guitar at six years old. I quickly grasped the fundamentals, but my interest waned when I learned the intricate theory involved, such as reading sheet music and scales. This resulted in me neglecting it and instead concentrating on my academic pursuits at school. I did, however, have an occasional impact in the music department in high school. This was mainly down to my music teacher at GCSE, who encouraged me to sing.
After completing my A-Levels in subjects unrelated to music (Maths, Chemistry, and Business), I made the decision to focus my career on Tesco. I worked hard to become one of the youngest Tesco Team Managers in the company. Investing all my time in Tesco, which was my life at the time, became my primary focus. It also served as a great distraction from some of the immature activities I was engaged in as an 18-year-old.
As COVID became apparent, my job got much more demanding, and I lived at the store, sometimes bouncing between different stores (to cover for management who were isolating). As my role expanded in anticipation of becoming store manager, I struggled to find time for music.
Post-Covid, when everything calmed down, I decided to pick up my guitar and start writing and learning more covers. This time I absolutely fell in love with it again! I practically begged local pubs to book me, accepting painstakingly low fees and sometimes even free gigs just to gain recognition!
Soon after, my gigs began to self-book! My income from gigs began to match that of my sometimes 50-hour-a-week role. As Tesco began to implement structural changes, I felt compelled to make a bold decision. I decided to resign from my role and transition into a sales manager role with Field Sales Solutions, a role that offered less demands and more time for my musical pursuits.
After working in this role for just under a year, I decided to dedicate myself full-time to music, which has completely transformed my life! I have performed at nearly 1000 gigs and travelled all over the world, entertaining thousands of people. I firmly believe that if you do not take the risk to pursue your dreams, you will not reap the rewards you deserve.
My inspirations come from anything I listen to! (Which can really vary.) But I have a great love for Elvis Presley, Michael Buble, Ed Sheeran, The Beatles, and Bruno Mars, to name a few.
